Meet Bishop and Mother Anderson

Bishop Rodwell V. Anderson and Mother Carmen J. Anderson

Bishop Rodwell V. Anderson is the founder and pastor of the Grace Mount Zion Apostolic family of churches in Mississauga and Milton. For more than four decades he has given his life to preaching the gospel, caring for people and raising up leaders.

Bishop Anderson's journey of faith began in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, where he was baptized in the name of Jesus and filled with the Holy Ghost under the ministry of the late Bishop Nevis Rowe. That encounter set the course for a lifetime of ministry.

Over the years he has served as an evangelist, pastor and church planter. His outreach has led many people to faith in Jesus Christ, and he has mentored a new generation of ministers and leaders. He is one of the pioneers of Canadian Apostolic Ministries, and he served as its National President from its founding in 1999 until 2018.

For more than 40 years Mother Carmen J. Anderson has served faithfully at her husband's side. She is a gifted singer, an evangelistic preacher and a past President of our Women's Department, and above all, an encourager. Mother Anderson always has a powerful song to share, one that lifts the heart and strengthens everyone who hears it.

Together the Andersons share three children and six grandchildren, and a heart for seeing families grow strong in faith.

“If I can't get you to the church, I'll get the church to you!”

Bishop Rodwell V. Anderson

A favourite song at Grace is "The Great I Am," inspired by Matthew 16:13.
